Introducing the Astral Chrysalis Designs reprise of the classic English Newsboy Hat, from the turn of the century. Perhaps you're wondering why so many of the hats we make take inspiration from classic British designs? Well first off because the Brits are awesome (!!!), but also because I am 61% British and my ancestors were shoemakers and milliners. When we started making hats 7 years ago, I had no idea this was the case! The irony has not been lost on us!

We've named our version "The Blade." Its radial piecework pattern is reminiscent of patterns seen throughout nature. Some see the nautilus pattern, others see an armadillo's shell or the roly-poly bug.  Despite its nature-inspired pattern, the end result is an edgy badass-looking hat that is great for casual everyday wear! Lastly, this hat has a strong flexible copper wire in the brim that allows you to shape the bill of the hat to your liking.

SIZING |
Please take a flexible measuring tape or if you don't have one- a piece of non-stretchy string to measure your head. We suggest measuring from the middle of the forehead, @ 1" above the eyebrows, @ 1/4" above the ears, and all the way around your entire head. When you get to the back of the head find that bump we all have and make sure that you measure about 1/2" above it. We suggest you measure your head at least 3x to get the correct measurement. Select the correct head measurement option at checkout or leave your head measurement in a note if you do not see your head size listed as an option.
